A suicide attack on Monday in northeastern Nigeria killed 11 people
and wounded another 26, a spokesman for the Nigerian Red Cross in Abuja said.
The incident occurred at
8:30 a.m. (3:30 a.m. ET) in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, behind
the Ministry of Finance, said the spokesman, Nwakpa O. Nwakpa.
The attacker appeared to have targeted a convoy in which the police commissioner was riding, he said.
